Our goal is to provide a comprehensive list of resources that can enhance the lives of those with Down syndrome and empower them to reach their full potential.

The Scott Center for Autism
The Scott Center for Autism Treatment at Florida Institute of Technology is a not-for-profit healthcare clinic founded in 2009 by Ed and Cheryl Scott and former U.S. Senator Dave Weldon. We are an integrated component of Florida Tech’s graduate program in Behavior Analysis, specializing in training, research and treatment in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our clinic is dedicated to improving the quality of life of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and related disabilities in Central Florida.

The LowDOWN: A Down Syndrome Podcast brings a professional perspective on issues facing individuals with Down syndrome and their loved ones. Hosts Marla Folden and Hina Mahmood of the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation welcome North America's leading Down syndrome experts, parents and self-advocates to cover topics from across the lifespan including health, physical and intellectual development, advocacy, employment and much more.
Association for Children with Down Syndrome
ACDS was originally founded in 1966 by a group of parents on Long Island who were seeking services for their young children with Down syndrome. Since then we have grown and evolved into a lifetime services agency that serves families of children and adults with a wide range of disabilities that include; Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech and Language Delays, and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
Down Syndrome International
UK based international disabled people's organization, comprising a membership of individuals and organizations from all over the world, committed to improving quality of life for people with Down syndrome, promoting their right to be included on a full and equal basis with others.
Jack's Basket
Jack’s Basket is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to celebrate babies with Down syndrome. We strive to ensure that every new and expectant parent is provided resources and avenues of support within the community. We aim to equip medical providers with tools to discuss the diagnosis in an unbiased way in hopes that having a baby with Down syndrome is celebrated like any other.
National Association for Down Syndrome
NADS is the oldest organization in the country serving individuals with Down syndrome and their families. It was founded in Chicago in 1961 by parents who chose to go against medical advice and raised their children with Down syndrome at home. Their pioneering efforts have made it easier for later generations of individuals with Down syndrome to be accepted by their families and communities, to develop their capabilities, and to work towards independence.
National Down Syndrome Congress
The National Down Syndrome Congress is dedicated to an improved world for individuals with Down syndrome. We are the leading national resource of support and information for anyone touched by or seeking to learn about Down syndrome. Educate. Advocate. Empower. Inspire.
World Down Syndrome Day
UN General Assembly decided, with effect from 2012, to observe World Down Syndrome Day on 21 March each year, and invites all Member States, relevant organizations of the United Nations system and other international organizations, as well as civil society, including non-governmental organizations and the private sector, to observe World Down Syndrome Day in an appropriate manner, in order to raise public awareness of Down syndrome.

I'm Jacob, a lover of animals, music and movies, and I have Down Syndrome. I graduated from Mohawk College in 2019 from the Community Integration through Cooperative Education program. I like to be creative and learned how to make candles, which resulted in me creating my candle business in 2021.
Max Mix Gourmet Spice Blends
Creating spice rubs as gifts for family and friends turned into a mission to live an independent life. Max is a young man with big passions and dreams who happens to have Down syndrome. In addition to wanting a fun and meaningful job he loves sports, music and earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Owen the Wonderer
Owen the Wonderer is a book series that teaches elementary aged children about disabilities and inclusion. Young readers learn how to be respectfully curious about differences in this creative, fun story!
In the first book of the series, Owen is curious about McKenzie, the new student in his class. She acts a little different than the rest of his classmates and looks a little different too. Owen gathers up the courage to ask a teacher about McKenzie and discovers she has Down syndrome. Using tips he learns from his teacher, Owen invites McKenzie to play on his team at recess, comes to her defense during an embarrassing situation in the lunchroom and helps her with her math homework. The two become quick friends, and Owen learns that McKenzie is not all that different after all.
Parents and teachers enjoy the guided questions at the end of the story to help facilitate conversations with children about what they learned from Owen and McKenzie. Advocates of those with intellectual disabilities appreciate the unique perspective of a neurotypical child who wants to include and befriend a peer with Down syndrome.
Raquel Beautiful
Raquel Caramello is a young lady with Down syndrome and a cancer survivor. She sells custom designed and curated beautiful jewelry, semi-precious to fashion, all with an inspirational message to empower you. When chemo from her cancer treatment made her hair fall out and kids bullied her and called her ugly she decided to start a movement to share the beauty in each of us with notes and cards that soon led to her inspirational jewelry business with each item including a note from Raquel reminding us that "You are beautiful!" Come by and share some joy and sunshine!

Enter description text here.Skyler Page was born with Down syndrome, Trisomy 21. It wasn’t that he lacked anything. He actually had something extra from the so-called norm; an extra 21st chromosome. Over time it would become evident that his condition, a mystery of creation, would give him the ability to love others unconditionally. “Skyman” is a story of his, and others like him, having this uniqueness. Hopefully, the rest of us that are lacking this extra chromosome will wonder if perhaps, just perhaps, they are the Creator’s intended norm.

Sophia Pineda is a young lady with a passion for art, dancing, music, family, friends, and fun. She also happens to have Down syndrome. It is art that truly captured Sophia's imagination and become her heart-felt and focused way to express herself. Through camps and classes at Libertytown Arts Workshop she has worked in painting, drawing and pottery. She especially loves Chinese watercolor painting. She brings an infectious sense of joy, humor and exuberance to her art and to her life.

No two children are the same, and as a result, behavior plans are not a one size fits all. Paloma Academy
Paloma Academy is a day school for children with behavioral disabilities in Melbourne, Florida. Paloma Academy offers compassionate evidence-based behavioral therapy to children, regardless of diagnosis. The founders named the school Paloma because it means “Dove”– a symbol of peace.
UCF- Inclusive Education Services
UCF’s Inclusive Education Services (IES) program provides an inclusive, comprehensive, non-degree-seeking college experience to adults with intellectual disabilities. During the two-year experience, students discover and develop their passions and strengths, enhancing their ability to facilitate long-term, paid and fulfilling employment after graduation.

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida

Easter seals Florida provides services to 40 of the 67 counties in Florida. We strive to meet the needs of each community and ensure that the people we serve can reach their full potential
UCF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities
Our primary service is to provide individualized, direct consultative assistance to individuals with autism and related disabilities in Central Florida and their families. Other services include technical assistance and consultation, professional training programs, and public education activities. CARD services are designed to build on the capacities of state and local resources, not to duplicate or replace them. The Center is funded by the Florida Legislature through the Florida Department of Education and all services are provided free of charge.
American Academy of Pediatrics Guidelines for Health Supervision for Children and Adolescents With Down Syndrome
This clinical report is designed to assist the pediatrician in caring for the child, adolescent, and family in whom a diagnosis of Down syndrome has been confirmed by chromosome analysis or suspected by prenatal screening.

Down Syndrome Pregnancy
Down Syndrome Pregnancy is a program administered by the National Center for Prenatal and Postnatal Resources at the University of Kentucky's Human Development Institute. We provide honest, compassionate, medically-reviewed, and informative support for those preparing for the birth of a baby with Down syndrome.
National Organization for Rare Disorders
We provide patient assistance programs to help individuals living with rare diseases: Obtain medication, Receive financial help with insurance premiums and co-pays, Get diagnostic testing assistance, Receive travel assistance for clinical trials or consultation with disease specialists, Provide caregiver respite, Offer support during emergencies, Gain knowledge about rare diseases, and Connect with other patient assistance programs.
Buddy Cruise
Buddy Cruise is a 501c3 non-profit charity providing educational opportunities and resources for families, while promoting awareness, advocacy, and inclusion for individuals with special needs. Join us for our unique annual conference at sea! A Buddy Cruise not only gives you the opportunity to gain information through educational workshops & events, but you will network with others from across the globe that are in "the same boat", and form lasting bonds. Families who have a hard time finding a scenario to meet all family members’ needs are accommodated with a variety of activities for all ages and abilities.

The Society for Accessible Travel & Hospitality (SATH), founded in 1976, is an educational nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to raise awareness of the needs of all travelers with disabilities, remove physical and attitudinal barriers to free access and expand travel opportunities in the United States and abroad.
